Founded in April 1992, the partners, Mike and Colleen Daymond-King together with John and Ngarita Rees created their family vineyard - Hatton Estate. Twenty acres in the heart of Gimblett Road were developed during the following 5 years when an additional 20 acres was added in 1997. The vineyard is predominantly planted in red varieties, which are particularly suited to the stony soils. Together we are committed to the philosophy of Quality without compromise to produce New Zealand’s finest wine.
