  • Description: "A tight, dry wine with mineral, citrus and a hint of floral flavours. Austere but not acidic, although the wine finishes pleasantly dry. It suggests good development potential and improves dramatically in the glass. After a day blind-tasting Sav Blanc samples, I put this bottle on the diner table and couldn't believe the transformation. With aeration, it opened up to reveal a level of complexity not discernable earlier in the day. I now decant most wines under scewcap but give Craggy Range Sav Blanc extra time." 5 Stars/95 Points - Gourmet Traveller Feb/Mar '08
  • Details: The crisp and crackling character typical of good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc is backed up by a nice touch of oaky richness in this comparatively complex rendition. Redolent of green melons, lemon grass and a faint note of figs, the wine finishes with plenty of cleansing acidity and will serve as a fine foil to sundry broiled fish dishes.

The 2007 is drinking beautifully, trust me, I had a good hand in making this one. Although, Pete say's the 2008 is the best yet where it took out the trophy in its class at the Murrumbateman Cool Climate Wine Show while the 2008. (this will be in store in November)
