On the nose, the wine immediately speaks of its terroir with a mineral and sappy frame. We found notes of ripe cherries, black plums, blackcurrants, blackberries and raspberries. A ripe combination, but we also find plenty of depth and sophistication. The licorice, minty side that we're offered on aeration offers a refreshing kick.
On the palate, the fine and elegant frame that we had on the nose is confirmed by a full-bodied and smooth attack with dominant fruity flavours. Then the wine closes back onto its minerality, its refreshing acidity and its supple, crisp grape skin tannins. This gives a nice impression of length. A wine which is drinking well today but which could equally be kept for a few more months.
