Details: Exotic hints of wild herbs, plum fruit and pronounced savoury and spicy character. The palate is intense and rich with generous ripe fruit and structured silky tannins.
Winemaking
The Foundry is a small winery established to produce wines of outstanding quality, purity and authenticity. The perfectly ripe fruit was hand harvested and sorted before undergoing fermentation in our custom made stainless steel fermenters. No effort was spared in the gentle handling of the fruit. After gentle pressing the wine was run into small French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation. The wine remained in barrels with one racking . The wine received no fining or filtration before being bottled.
Modern Aussie Shiraz, less reliance on oak, vibrant and bright. The wine displays distinctive
pepper and spice characters with good mid palate weight and length. It has fine fruit concentration and purity of character.
