Lindores Single Malt MCDXCIV – 46%

Matured in a combination of ex-bourbon, ex-sherry, and STR red wine casks from Burgundy, this is the first single malt release from the Lindores Abbey. Named after the year Lindores Abbey was recorded to have produced the first-ever distillation of Scotch whisky in 1494, although it was probably happening long before that, this is indeed a proud moment for the distillery. Notes of butterscotch and fresh orchard fruits give way to vanilla, oak spice and black pepper.
