We loved meeting Lukas Van Loggerenberg on our trip to South Africa in January 2017, one of the highlights of the entire trip. Completely opposite to regular Cinsault. A much more serious wine rather than the light tutti frutti style. This wine has bright and dark fruit components, quite Southern Rhone like. This is all Stellenbosch fruit so is cooler than the Swartland and is therefore more tight knit with better concentration. Ripe but delicate raspberries, lush green herbs, sage, lemon thyme and a touch of mint. Seriously delicious Cinsault!!
